Washington State WA ALASKA AK 1913 Good+ Manuscript
On offer is a remarkable reference treasure trove and artifact of the Civil War - a 1913-1932 ledger of 225+ certificates of application for membership to the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 1861-1865. The book, a 'Horn' Gum Stub File, relates to Tent No. 4, The Department of Washington and Alaska. Each woman has listed the soldier's [being their father's or in some cases their grandfather's] names, their length of service from call up to mustering out, battalions, regiments, company, reasons for discharge, current address of relatives +++.
