On offer is an interesting, original 1915 manuscript diary handwritten by the 74 year old Ranson Griffin as per an ownership inscription at the rear endpaper and birthday confirmation on the date October 31st as per the inscription. Well filled save for a handful of days Ms. Griffin details a life of never ending daily chores and duties as any rural life peppered with visits, trips, local events, familial occasions and fair bit of genealogical information for the historian or researcher. We note that Ranson almost daily mentions her 'Ma' and 'Pa' and given she is 74 years old herself the family appears very long lived and vital as we curiously note the 1920 census lists Ranson Griffin as an active broker, age 79. The diary measures about 3" x 5" and is in good shape.
