Translated from the French by Benj. R. Tucker. American first, very good save for the inner cracked hinge and slight stains to the cover. Light bumping to the head and tail. Bookstore pastdown on the inside front cover. Strong gilt title treatment to the spine and cover. Title page is loose. Otherwise a nice tight copy. For the most part anti-semitic, written a few years before the Dreyfus affair and Zola's utter about face to in fact championing that one of France's most despicable traits was anti-semitism.
