On offer is a very detailed travel diary by John D. Winchester of Seattle Washington who leaves Seattle March 26th of 1939 and by ship via the Panama Canal, Newfoundland to Glasgow, Scotland. This is a very extensive Scottish countryside tourist trip but appears to be a 'regular' trip for this young man. The "My Trip" journal style diary is fully written, has notes of people met with addresses and this diary serves as a super step-by-step travelogue of Scotland by a knowledgeable traveler. The diary's 'story' is enhanced with his return trip in late August taking him to New York City for a showing of Wizard of Oz, and Mickey Rooney is seen live, a trip to the Word's Fair and then onto to Chicago by train. 92 pp of text approx.
