On offer is an interesting, original manuscript relic reflective of Southern Reconstruction Era woes and gripes between citizens and Government, this being an 1869 Madison, Alabama handwritten document; a Reconstruction Era petition and as stated a protest by the Citizens of Madison against a proposed sale by the Mayor and Aldermen of the street between the store house of the Wise Mercantile Co. and that of Mr. L.
