On offer is a very interesting, original manuscript diary handwritten by the noted author Albert Shaw, who did the Review of Reviews, and many other works in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Of the 35 pages of entries including his noteworthy trip to visit American educator and the founder of Berry College in Rome, Georgia Martha Berry at her school in Mt Berry, Georgia in 1941 there are a number of pages of literary and scholarly commentary. On offer is an interesting archive of 20 original 1930s - 1940s handwritten and typed letters 15 or so between Professor C. Calor Mota of Puerto Rico and Dr. Albert Shaw, the well known author and editor [there are a few other letters from others some relating to comment interests]. Incoming letters from Mota and the retained copies of Shaw's letters make for a rare and complete correspondence as the two explore the mid Wars and pre World War II era.
