On offer is an original 1775 folded map titled 'Cartes des Postes de France'. The map opens into a fullsize 25.5 x 25.5 inch map of France comprised of sixteen [16] panels. The panels have been glued to what appears to be linen. This was a craftsman item not something 'homemade' as evidenced by the quality work in cutting the panels and affixing to the canvas backing and the edging.
