On offer is a super, early, circa 1850s eighteen [18] page manuscript handwritten by Dr. Henry Blanchard [1811 - 1897] on misuse, symptoms of, poisonous effects etc. of tobacco. He begins stating he realizes that this will be a 'delicate if not unpopular subject'. While undated there are other papers from the main archive that place this essay/speech in the mid 1850s and in the Boston Massachusetts area.
