Offered is a super, longish 4 page, 12 x 7 and a half inches, folded letter handwritten by Joseph Angels to Mrs Whitman, his sister, dated July 24th 1788 Baltimore [Maryland]. Mr Angels proves to be a bit of a prosaic writer and by being so paints a rather interesting picture of social inclinations and mores of the time in Baltimore: 'I cannot let go so good an opportunity pass without writing by Capt Wheaton fearful lest you might suppose that as soon as I was with one sister I would forget the other.
