On a folio sheet folded is an antique handwritten poem in an unknown hand credited to Captain Thompson [Edward, b. 1738? - 1786] titled: 'The Choice of a Wife By Cheese' about a man in York named Pimlico who put to Nancy, Betsey and Sally the task of making cheese and thereupon he chose his wife.
